BMW has a busy week at Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este. A new single game has already been annoyed that may be closely related to the skytop, but there is even more. We promised a new M car and we can imagine nothing else apart from the M2 CS. Assuming that the Coupé of the Range Toping 2 series is official in a few days, this spy video shows competition with camouflage for the last time.
The prototype gives the impression that it is ready to drop the cladding. The yellow lights that are typical of previous CS models are missing during the day, but we have already reported that it could use white DRLs instead. Elsewhere, the more aggressive spoiler front bumpers and Ducktail rear immediately differ from the regular G87. BMW even bothered to camouflage the M2 CS logo on the kidney grille. Heck, even the standard carbon bucket -front seats are covered and probably hide a new upholstered pattern.
Despite these efforts to hide the obvious, the M2 CS is an open secret. To summarize what we know from reliable sources, it remains in the rear wheel drive. While BMW is planning an XDRIVE variant, it will not be debut until 2026. In the meantime, this special edition will report 523 hp to the rear axle. Do not expect a clutch pedal because this limited coupé will only be automatically.
We believe that the engineers have cut 66 pounds (30 kilograms) by largely with carbon fiber. Gold bronze wheels and a purple/purple outer color as well as some less striking adaptation options for both the bikes and for the body as well as confirmed. The M2 CS will definitely contain a rear bank, although we still hope that BMW will give us a CSL at some point. The M division created a prototype during the F87 generation, but never reached production.
BMW is said to be around 2,000 units of the M2 CS during a one -year production run. You should better sit down at prices. In Germany it can override € 110,000 and enter into reasonable $ 100,000 in the United States.
