Legends of the Autobahn is an annual event during Car Week in Monterey. It is a time when even the rarest BMW cars become common places. BMW routinely brings a few top -class models for enthusiasts like us to move out. This year is no different. Today we take a closer look at the M2 CS, the most aggressive and striking M2.
The M2 CS at a glance


The M2 CS BMW, which was brought to the Pebble Beach this year, bears the exclusive start color of the individual velvet Blue Metallic. It is the only individual color that is available for the ultra-exclusive and powerful M2 variant. Like the one we saw in Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este at the beginning of this year, it is bronze, the forged wheels with red painted brake calipers are broadcast. The wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 20 inches in the rear and carry handle pirelli tires -275 profile backwards in front of the 285 profile.


Inside, changes may be less obvious, but no less important. The initiatives for weight saving include the loss of the center armrest and the installation of carbon fiber shovel seats, the latter of which are an option for regular M2 orders. Carbon fiber decorates the cabin, accentuated with red “CS” bloters wherever they look. A carbon fiber center console runs additional weight and is exclusively for CS-Baded cars. A steering wheel handled with Alcantara pulls everything together.


As a memory, the M2 CS is the most powerful variant of the M2 that can buy money. In fact, it is the most powerful BMW M product in the rear wheel drive. Under the bonnet, the S55 engine was massaged up to 523 hp and £ 479 pounding foot. That is 50 hp than the “normal” M2 coupe and 20 more than the M3 and M4 competition models. The car also promotes a variety of other aesthetic and performance -oriented improvements that highlight it. An exclusive Ducktail spoiler, a unique CS-style grille and a roof made of carbon fiber reinforcement (CFRP) are just a few of the changes that have made BMW to make the M2 CS possible for the most radical iteration.
Legends of the highway never disappointed


The M2 CS was far from the only interesting BMW. We also saw an M5 tour in Sepia Brown Metallic together with a series of classics. Until an M2 -CSL is officially announced, the BMW M2 CS remains king of the 2 Series. It definitely looks out of the part.
