BMW M3 Touring GT3 Evo revealed – but they are not too excited

In a courageous step that blurred the border between imagination and reality, BMW M Motorsport sent the enthusiasts today with the procurement of the BMW M3 Touring GT3 Evo – a machine that looks ready to dominate endurance racing. The vehicle was shared on the official social media channels of BMW M Motorsport and was presented with a caption with the inscription “BMW M3 Touring Body. GT3 Soul”. Meet the BMW M3 Touring GT3 EVO – our latest addition to the BMW M Motorsport.

Accompanied by striking images, the M3 Touring GT3 Evo showed aggressive motorsport styling, which was lifted directly from the M4 GT3 EVO playbook from BMW. The touring body was expanded with a complete aero kit, including a massive front splinter, exhibited fenders, sidewock panels, a rear diffuser and of course the legendary racing wing, which is proud of the tailgate. The illusion was the M4 GT3 Evo painting factory and an enlarged kidney grille that was optimized for cooling. At first glance, the car was not to be distinguished by its circular siblings.

A dream that could never come true

For a few more fleeting hours, fans dared to believe that BMW had built the ultimate unicorn-a car that had merged with full GT3-Spec engineering. As the date suggests, this was the annual stunt of BMW April Fool’s joke – and maybe one of the most realistic so far. Despite the cheeks of nature of the announcement, the online reactions were mostly positive, whereby fans all over the world asked BMW to build at least one one-time version of the car.

The concept was not completely failed. BMW M has previously dealt with outrageous individual cases and the ideas of the April Fools who dealt with the possibility of the possibility. Remarkably, the E92 M3 pickup also proved to be a joke on April 1 – as a fully functional prototype that was used for internal logistics in the Garching facility of BMW M. And with the latest success of the BMW M3 Touring (G81), which marked the first M3 car for production, the idea of a race-ready touring was not as far as it once seemed.

While the M3 Touring GT3 Evo never sees the green flag in Spa or Le Mans, his short moment in the spotlight is a memory of the passion and playfulness that still lives in the heart of BMW M. and who knows? With enough interest, the imagination of this April joke could develop into a very real track weapon. Until then, we will continue to dream – and maybe you will start to take measurements for a custom build. [Photo: BMW M]
