BMW from North America has announced its US sales results for the first quarter of 2025 and presented a positive trajectory for BMW and Mini brands. The BMW brand recorded an increase in sales of 3.7% and provided 87,615 vehicles compared to 84,475 in the same period of the previous year. Mini also rose to a remarkable increase, whereby sales of 6,369 rose by 9.5% to 6,976 vehicles in the first quarter of 2024. The introduction of the brand new mini-landsmann and cooper models contributed to the growth of sales of Mini.

A significant contribution to the growth of BMW is the increase in sales (Battery Electric Vehicle). In the first quarter of 2025, BMW sold 13,538 BEVS and marked an increase of 26.4% compared to the 10,713 units sold in the same period 2024. The BMW i4 led this segment with 7,125 units sold – a 57% presser of the 4,537 units of the previous year. The BMW IX also went well, whereby sales rose by 23.1% to 3,626 units. Conversely, the BMW i5 and i7 recorded a slight decline, whereby 1,899 and 888 units were due to a decrease of 15.2% or 10.4%. The new 2026 BMW IX came into production in March, so that the next quarter had a new increase in the IX turnover.

Sebastian Mackensen, President and CEO of BMW of North America, was satisfied with the performance of the quarter and emphasized the strength of the US production network from BMW and the attractiveness of its product service. He emphasized that the majority of the BMW vehicles sold in the USA are also gathered in Germany and underlines the company’s commitment to local production.
