BMW M5 Touring Individual Shakir Orange is impossible to ignore

BMW pulls out all the stops to convince the noisers that a station car can be really exciting. The M5 touring is far from its typical family tractor with impact filled fenders that are visible from a mile. A quad exhaust from the factory on a “shopping sponsor” doesn’t see anything every day. The third generation’s M5 touring stands even more if it is painted in an individual color.

Shakir Orange has been around for years, but we can’t remember ever having seen it on a car. New official pictures of BMW Slovakia show what happens when the G99 meets the P93. The internal codes from BMW for the M5 touring or their individual color. We could just as well add a third code name: 951 M. Enthusiasts will recognize this as a bike design that is shown here in all-black, but is also available in a two-colored finish.

The black alloys go well with the dark body accents, although we still hope for a classic silver bike. An omission that the aftermarket is certainly concerned. Another disadvantage is the lack of an optional carbon fiber roof. BMW is available in the M5 sedan (G90), it has decided not to offer the light panel on the more practical tour. The same applies to the M3 touring (G81), since only the sedan (G80) receives a carbon roof.

If you are not a fan of the current styling, there are big changes on the horizon. The M5 sedan has already been seen with a NEE class facelifting. It is obvious that prototypes of the long roof model also receive LCI treatment. However, it will take a while for BMW to start selling the updated versions. The deliveries of the current M5 duo started less than a year ago, so that the brand based in Munich is not in a hurry to start the facelift.

According to our sources, BMW will start producing the M5 facelift in March 2027. This gives the buyers a lot of time to enjoy the current design. Dance shots indicate that the LCI will get radical changes in a nutshell where it could be confused with a model of the next generation. Interestingly, the car proves to be more popular than the limousine in the United States. M -boss Frank van Meel told us that the opposite in Europe is true where the buyers prefer the limousine to the property.

Who would have thought America would be the one who saved the cars?
