Always wanted something just a little bigger than an X3, but not as wide or large as the BMW X5? If you happen to live in China, you are lucky. The next model to get a stretched version is the BMW NA6 IX3, a Chinese market matter in which the wheelbase of the X3 grows by several centimeters to better absorb the drivers in the rear. What does not change are performance and torque figures. The NA6 IX3 will share all drive train components with the regular IX3. Since all Chinese market for long wheelbase vehicles are produced in China, this will of course also be this.
The Chinese market has a preference for prioritization of passengers in the back seat. The long -walled IX3 will join a number of other extended models, including the BMW 3 Series and 5 series. Even other SUVs have seen longer variants, including X1 and X5. When it comes to electrical and elongated models, Chinese customers can also choose from long -wall base variants of the IX1 and i5.
The IX3 long wheelbase focuses on comfort

While the performance figures remain unchanged compared to the regular IX3, there is an obvious place that the IX3L differs: the rear seats. The IX3L is expected to be located near the length of a regular BMW X5. However, since the freight volume between the IX3L and the regular IX3 remains approximately the same, this means an enormous increase in the rear passenger area. As with the gas-powered X3 length of the Waden, we are reasonably certain that the IX3L has a larger back angle for the rear seats. The special benches also receive extensions of thigh support in order to receive increased support. Expect general luxury and quality of life, such as wireless charging baths in the rear.
The most serious may be an additional addition for which US buyers are not available. In the IX3L, rear cards with ambient light accents with rear cards are obtained. Our driving impressions of the X3 XDRIVE30 felt more than a little overwhelmed. Especially in the department for interference. Ironically, it seems as if BMW felt just as much and treats Chinese customers who jump a little of the back seat light show for the IX3L.
Regardless of how you feel about the IX3L, you have to wait a while to get your wheel. The IX3L will not arrive on Chinese roads until mid -2026. While the regular IX3 is said to be 4,780 millimeters (188.1 inches), we assume that the IX3L takes a closer look at 193 inches (4902 mm) of the X5 length of the X5. We will have more details if the start is getting closer. Probably early next year.
