The Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este is primarily a celebration of the past. However, the annual event that BMW Group Classic has organized in the past 20 years is also an opportunity to organize world premieres. There are not one for 2025, but two new cars that carry the legendary round: the speedtop and the M2 CS. We both treated detailed with exclusive pictures over the weekend, and now BMW share new photos of the latter.
While the press recordings highlight the M2 CS in Brooklyn Gray, these pictures show the sports coupé in Velvet Blue. It is probably the only individual color available for the improved G87. We will certainly know if BMW publish complete details about the performance machine in the rear wheel drive in several days. It does not look drastically from a regular M2, but a look at the Ducktail Spoiler makes it clear that this is not a standard model.
We hear that BMW buyers offers a few paint options. In addition to Brooklyn Gray, the no-cost selection also includes Sapphire Black and M Portimao Blue. For fake bikes, customers are limited to a matt bronze gold set in a staggered setup. The front axis has 19-inch alloys with 275/35ZR19 tires, while the Heck has 20-inch wheels with 285/30ZR20 rubber. Speaking of, sport, track and ultra-track tires are reportedly planned. You can optionally combine the wheels with carbon ceramic brakes with red brake calipers.

The M2 CS is in good company this weekend in Lake Como in Italy. The latest BMW CS models are also available, namely the M3 CS Touring and the M4 CS. All that is missing is a new M5 -CS, although it is unlikely that it will happen soon. BMW only delivered the first G90 sedan and G99 car a few months ago, and Logic suggests that a hotter derivative will not arrive before 2027. Then the company plans to debut the Facelift model that Car Paparazzi has already discovered hidden new classes -Design -Cues.
In the meantime, the M2 development is not over yet. BMW could give the G87 the XDRIVE treatment at some point next year. The second generation model will only end production closer to the end of the decade. At this point, BMW will probably be adopted by manual gears, at least in series production cars. Whether we will ever see an M2-CSL remains a mystery, but there is hope when the F87 produces a unique CSL prototype.
