BMW tuner builds its own M2 -CS with much more performance

The M2 CS is the latest M car that destroys its budget. In the United States, around 100,000 US dollars costs, in front of options and a steep € 115,000 in Germany, there is hardly a bargain. Here Dahler enters tempting enthusiasts with upgrades for the standard M2 as an achievable alternative.

The Swiss tuner introduces a kit of level 2 for the compact M-car and perseveres its twin turbo inline-Six to deliver serious firepower. The 3.0-liter unit now generates 638 hp and 780 NM torque (575 LB-FT), so that the M2 CS stock remains dust. Dahler also removes the electronic top speed limit, so that the coupé can rise over 300 km/h after 186 miles per hour.

The upgrades go far beyond the S58 engine. This M2 is located on forged 21-inch wheels, which are wrapped in 275/25 front and 305/25 rear tires. A lowered driving height, 28 millimeters (1.1 inches) at the front and 20 millimeters (0.8 inches) at the back, sharpens its attitude. An adjustable four-way stinging and improved brake pads are also available to improve the handling and the stop performance.

On the back, a new stainless steel exhaust system with a quad tip with a diameter of 100 or 108 millimeters focuses on. It is supplied with a bi-flap setup, a matt black finish coated with ceramic and a soundtrack that corresponds to the newly discovered aggression of the car. The weight reduction is also on the menu and deals with a common criticism of the latest M2 -CS. A carbon fiber hood that is not available in the new car was installed. As a reminder, the old F87 had a carbon hood.

But Dahler didn’t stop here. Carbon fiber extends to the ventilated front fenders. It continues in a wider body package, which contains an add-on add-on, a large rear wing, a carbon-kidney cooler grill and a suitable rear diffuser.

If you prefer to wait for BMW to deliver an extreme M2 directly from the factory, patience can pay off. A CSL is a real option, although it will not arrive before the increasingly more likely XDRIVE version that is expected next year.
