BMW has been removed from the unveiling of the prototype of the viscidator experience for hours, but the proverbial cat is already out of its pocket. Official images of the VDX have appeared on social media and show the electrical sports sedan in all its camouflaged fame. Details on the prototype are not yet available, but the EV is clearly based on the concept of Vision Nee Class 2023. Update: Here are the complete details and images of the BMW Vision Driving Experience.
It seems to have a more aggressive front with large aerial photographs that the concept car did not have. Instead, the initial version of the electrical limousine had a smooth front fascia without visible air absorption. The same applies to the rear that is far more dramatic on the VDX. The gaping holes give it an interesting look, and we are sure that there is a good reason why they are so big.
The VDX apparently have centerlock wheels with aero covers and LED light rods from the sides. It seems to have fenders and regular side mirrors instead of the tiny cameras of the concept. The vision experience also sits deeper on the ground and has stronger body -colored side skirts. There seems to be a slat over the wheels in which the front hood/case hits the fender. It is probably there for aerodynamic reasons. However, the concept car 2023 didn’t.
The leaked pictures enable us to jump into the cabin, where many things have changed. For example, there are body -hugging front seats and plenty of carbon fiber. The predominantly black interior also has additional switchgear between the seats that can usually be found in test cars. We notice that the BMW Roundel is missing on the steering wheel. The footwell offers a fire extinguisher on the passenger side. In contrast to the concept car, the prototype has the usual stems behind the steering wheel.
It is unlikely that BMW will sell this car, but the electric M3, which comes in 2027/2028, will probably benefit from the developments that are initiated by the VDX. Before the prototype later covers today, you can see the differences by comparing them with the vision of NEE class shown below.
