BMW Z Meet collects 55 cars, including a few Z1s

The Z4 may be approaching the end of its trip, but leaves a significant legacy that started with BMW Techniks Z1. Fittingly, both the first and the last Z models were present at the third annual event of the Slovakia BMW-Z Roadster Club. They were accompanied by other outstanding cars, although the effortlessly beautiful Z8 was not there. In total, no less than 55 vehicles took part in this third edition.

The annual meeting of Z cars took place in Trenčianske Teplice, a small town in western Slovakia. There were 37 Z3S, 16 Z4s and a few Z1S. Everyone gathered on a place just a few kilometers from the city of Trenčín. In addition to passion for all things, share Future (German for “future”), several participants have taken awards home.

Third place went to the owner of a 2003 Z3 2.0i in Dakar Yellow. The second place was awarded in 1989 Z1 2.5 top red. First place (So ​​please) Went to a 2014 Z4 35is in individual Melbourne Red Metallic. The honorable mentions included “Best Beautiful Wheels” for a 2007 Z4 3.0SI and a special jury price for a 2004 Z4 3.0i.

More than 100 people took part in the event, which already has a date for the fourth edition: June 20 to 21 June in Brezno, a city in Centralovakia. Until then, Z history may have reached its last chapter. The latest reports indicate that the “G29” Z4 will end production in May 2026. Even worse, there is currently no insider information about a next generation Z-Auto. Nevertheless, the hope remains that one day BMW will present another Z model, not just Nissan.

In the meantime, the photos from the event capture the decades of tradition and the deep inclination holders have their Z-cars. Selecting a favorite is almost impossible, although the Z1 with its vertically sliding doors stands out as something very special. With only 8,000 units built, it is also exceptionally rare. And let’s not forget the quirky “clownshoe”, another unforgettable highlight in the Z line -up.
