You know that times are changing when “M3” and “Elektro” are in the same heading. After the Paparazzi caught the hot EV limousine in snow -capped Scandinavia, the “ZA0” tests have now moved to Germany. A prototype of the first M3 without an internal combustion engine was seen in the Ring Fitness studio. It combines the typical BMW black and white vertebrae with a colorful M motif around the impact -filled bike boxes. The M topic also adorns the corners of both bumpers.
Nurburgring tests have started
Although this does not exclude plug-in hybrids in “e”, we do not hear the roar of an inline six. The electric M3 is predictable, although it hears an ice -operated car in the background. The sound of the first complete M-electric model comes from the tires. While Purists find an EV sacrilegian, you can comfort yourself if you know that BMW will make another six-cylinder M3, the “G84”.

But what if we would tell you that I could give the electrical M3 the sound of a gas car? A current teaser video indicated the prospects of a synthesized noise noise. We will surely find out how the start of the car is expected in 2027. In the second half of 2026, BMW starts the regular i3 sedan (“Na0”).
New class design

Since the electrical M3 is still in the early stages, the prototype of the Nordschleife does not have all production bits. Although it seems to have the final body panels, the lights are temporary. The shape, size and location of the headlights and taillights is unlikely that changes to the body would change. However, BMW will change the inner graphic at both ends.

Because the camo blocks the view, the taillights seem to be much narrower than they really are. We are confident that the rear clusters extend to the trunk lid. BMW designed the concept of 2023 Vision New Class, and the M3 “ZA0” should be an angry -looking version of the concept. Wider bike boxes and larger aerial photographs are on the menu, although they are not as radical as the vision experience.
BMW gave the Bonkers VDX more than 1,300 hp from a quad engine setup, but the electric M3 will report to be satisfied with “only” 670 hp or something in this area. As a refreshment, new class models have one, two, three and even four engines. The initial M3 -ZA0 taste could pack two engines, but nothing is official at this point.
