Japan’s BMW X5 and X6 Shadow Edition will be rare

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but BMW has a hand for aging products younger than they are. For the Japanese market, the luxury car manufacturer has prepared a special edition -Duo based on the X5 and X6. These models are offered in diesel and m performance versions and take on a dark topic from inside and outside, just as their name suggests.

The X5 is limited to 65 units as XDRIVE40D. Alternatively, the six-cylinder diesel SUV can be ordered in individual dravit gray, which are covered using 50 examples. Reduce on the M60i and only five are built, all in the same individual color are completed. Regardless of the version, BMW fits the M Sport package Pro. It also uses the Shadowline treatment for a more scary appearance.

In order to sweeten the deal, BMW Japan includes an M-Sport exhaust, M-Sportbrems with blue brake calipers and seat belts in M ​​issues. The 22-inch 742 m wheels, which are usually not available for the Japanese market X5, are also part of the deal. Black badges, crystal switches and an alcantara anthracite headliner are rounded off. The individual black seats and panorama glass sliding roof are reserved for the M60i.

The pricing begins at 13,980,000 yen for the X5 XDRIVE40D Edition Shadow. For V8 Power you have to output 16,600,000 yen for the X5 M60i XDRIVE SHADOW.

For those who prefer the more elegant siblings, the X6 is limited to 35 units for the XDRIVE35D in the black sapphire and another five for the M60i in individual dravit gray. The Coupé SUV reflects the standard equipment of the X5, including the bikes that have not yet been available. As with the X5, the panoramic load glass sliding roof and the improved leather are exclusively for the M -Performance model.

The diesel X6 Edition Shadow costs 13,980,000 yen, while the M Performance version costs 17,660,000 yen.

Both edition shadow models are already available for ordering in Japan. Order books close on October 16. At the beginning of this year, the X5 received a namesake special edition in Australia, even though you were only offered as an XDRIVE30D.
