Manhart made a name for itself by modifying BMW M vehicles, but this X6 doesn’t carry the letter “the most powerful in the world.” It starts as a normal xDrive40i and then receives hardware upgrades that take the speedy SUV to a higher level of performance. The German tuner has paired the extra oomph with a more aggressive look.
Work on the “MHX6 500” package begins with upgrades to the turbocharged inline-six engine. Manhart works his magic on BMW’s “B58” mill by installing an MHtronik power box and a stainless steel exhaust. The 3.0-liter engine is rated at 473 horsepower and 465 pound-feet (630 Newton meters) of torque. It’s still not quite on the level of an M Performance model, but it brings the six-cylinder X6 closer to the hot M60i and its beefy V8.
Manhart doesn’t reveal any performance figures, but this souped-up X6 xDrive40i should be decently quick. We estimate that the sprint to 100 km/h takes around 5 seconds. After all, the standard model with “only” 375 hp gets the job done in a not-too-shabby 5.4 seconds.

While it still doesn’t step on the X6 M60i’s toes, this xDrive40i takes a more aggressive stance. The Manhart exhaust features four 100mm tailpipes, which might mislead the untrained eye into thinking this is an M Performance or full M model. An extensive body kit with carbon fiber components spread throughout the exterior adds to the visual drama.
Aside from the carbon fiber body additions, this X6 forgoes the original wheels and instead employs Manhart’s own set. The stately 22-inch alloy wheels have a silky matt black finish and are fitted with 295/30 front and 335/25 rear tires. While the featured vehicle retains the standard brakes, aftermarket upgrades are available upon request.
At first glance, the interior appears unchanged, but there are a few subtle details. Manhart adds carbon fiber to the steering wheel spokes and shift paddles, while custom floor mats proudly bear the company’s name. As can be seen on the outside, the BMW round shield has been replaced by the tuner’s own logo.
If you’re tired of the “G06” generation, you should know that its replacement isn’t coming anytime soon. The “G67” is rumored to be released in 2028 and is rumored to produce the first all-electric iX6.
