The new 3-door mini Cooper and the Mini-Aceman have both secured five-star reviews in the last round of the Euro NCAP security tests. The results apply to all motor versions of both models, which reflects the strong crash protection and the inclusion of a variety of driver support systems by default.
This is the fourth time that a member of the current mini family has achieved top notes. At the beginning of the year, the Reinelectric Mini Cooper and the new Mini-Landsmann also acquired five stars and confirmed that the latest generation of Mini in Europe all meets some of the hardest security requirements.
The Euro NCAP results show that the Mini Cooper 3-Trei performed heavily in all categories and achieved 83 percent for the protection of the inmates of adults and 82 percent for the safety of children. It also achieved an assessment of 81 percent for pedestrian protection and 77 percent for its security support systems. The results of the Mini -aceman were also impressive, 83 percent for adult occupants, 87 percent for the safety of children, 77 percent for pedestrian protection and 79 percent for driver aid.
It is important that these reviews apply to each variant in the two model lines. This includes the Mini Cooper C, Cooper S and John Cooper Works 3-Trees as well as the Aceman E, Aceman SE and the John Cooper Works Aceman. Regardless of trim or drive train, each model fulfills the same safety standards for Euro NCAP tests.
The Euro -Ncap is generally viewed as a benchmark for vehicle security in Europe. Supported by government agencies and automotive associations, its test protocols are often updated in order to reflect further developing standards for crash protection and active safety technology. The five-star results for Cooper and Aceman confirm that the latest generation of Mini cars not only distinguishes in design, but is also competitive if security is concerned.
