Mini transforms the Aceman John Cooper into a security car

We are used to seeing coupes, limousines and the occasional cars as security cars, but the BMW group makes things a little different with this mini. The Aceman is a purely electrical subcompact crossover, which was built in China, where its high -performance version of John Cooper is also compiled. This spicy JCW variant has now received the security car treatment for Circuit Zolder.

On the route in the municipality of Heusden-Zolder in Belgium, the mini-aceman JCW will begin its duties after it has been modified by absolute engines. During the Mini-Fan & Track Day events on the 61-year racetrack, you can catch the sporty electric crossover on June 8th.

Equipped with a custom-made lighting body and roof lights, the flagship -aceman maintains its standard hardware. It grabs an electric motor with 255 hp and 350 Newton meters (258 LB-FT) immediately assembled. That ranges for a 100 km/h sprint from 0 to 62 km/h in respectable 6.4 seconds.

Mini equipped the Aceman JCW with a 54.2 kWh battery. It is good for up to 221 miles (355 kilometers) range in the WLTP cycle. A less well-known function of the range-toping model is a boost function that temporarily adds 27 hp for quick overhaul or a little more fun.

The more difficult you push the pedal, the more difficult it is to hit this reach. Reaching the cited figure on a track like Zolder will be a challenge. Realistically speaking, we do not expect many people to bring the Aceman JCW to the race track. The John Cooper Works Hot Hatch is better suited for this job, although we still mourn the loss of manual gear.

In the meantime, Mini has planned indefinitely to build the Aceman in his work in Oxford. Production was initially planned for 2026, but that no longer happened. The electrical cooper is no longer produced in Great Britain in Great Britain, at least not so quickly. Spotlight Automotive will currently only build the EV duo in China. If this no bell rings, it is a 50:50 joint venture between the BMW group and a large wall engine.
