The (open) secret is finally out. BMW only debuted with the M2 CS yesterday and gave a day after the unveiling of the world in Concorso d’Elaza in the Villa d’Este. While The The car wore shocking velvety blue color, there are many other cool colors – and other options. Where else to explore them, but the BMW’s own online configurator? Today we look at the British M2 CS Coupé configurator to get an insight into what is possible.
Outer colors
Oddly enough, the G87 BMW M2 CS only receives three options for external color online. You can choose Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire or Brooklyn Gray. Velvet Blue are displayed on the US country site, but there is also no shortage in the German configurator. So we are not sure whether this is an oversight or just something that the configurators have not yet fully recorded. Instead of Velvet Blue, we choose Brooklyn Gray. Only a bike style is offered: 827 m wheels in the bronze-cut. However, there are three selections of tires, from “Ultra -Track tires” to more traditional sports strips for the street. As elsewhere in the CS stable, they are a staggered 19- and 20-inch in front.
Interior cushion and trim
Limited options will continue when we move with the M2 CS configurator. Black leather cushions with carbon fiber -bucket (the cool blue accents column) is the only color offered and the only material. Similarly, carbon fiber cladding is the only way to switch the cabin. All M2-CS coupés are also touted cool “CS” accents on the door cards and an arm-free center console.
Optional functions
As is typical of CS offers, there are not many add-ons for the M2 CS. The main option under the “Options” tab is the M -Driver package, which is standard. This means that the car can reach speeds of up to 302 km/h. M carbon ceramic brakes are available for healthy £ 8,800, and the replacement of the standard alcantara steering wheel with a leather is an option without charging. The active speed control, which includes the radar speed control, is the final option for only £ 550.
BMW M2 CS Ordering state: any differences?
The configurator pages on Great Britain and German locations are probably very representative of how the car is sent in the USA. At least in the United States, however, the active speed control will be standard, and the pricing for Carbon ceramics brakes stateside has already been confirmed at $ 8,500. The pricing in Great Britain begins at 92,475 GBP, and the Germans have to take a hearty € 115,000. In the United States, BMW remains $ 99,775 south of the six-digit border according to determination fees. How do you configure yours?
