Only a few brands excite the hearts of enthusiasts such as the BMW department, and RM Sotheby’s upcoming Best of M Collection Auction in Munich proves exactly why. The sale brings some of the most important, rarest and best-driving power models of the brand together and extends to modern halo cars for decades of the M-History of icons of the 1970s. Here is a carefully curated mixture of rarity, preservation with a low milie and pure climb that captures the spirit of M over generations. Regardless of whether you are looking for a time capsule classic or are something wishes from the newer school, the best of the M collection is certainly fascinated.
Best of M Collection Highlights
RM Sotheby’s best-of-m collection has prepared some of the historically most important and best-driving examples of the brand for the auction. While there are some striking omissions, as is the CSL of 3.0 CS or the “Batmobil” and every M5 and M6 model-the collection is launched the smallest and often most common variants with BMW M over the past 50 years. Older gemstones comprise a BMW M1 and a turbo from 1975 2002. The rest of the collection is the 1990s and later, but that’s okay for us. You will recognize pre-Millenium hits, including an E36 M3 GT, BMW Z1, E30 M3 Cabrio and more. A 2003 BMW Alpina Roadster V8 marks the only Alpina model in the collection.
It is difficult to choose one as a “crown jewel”, but we give you some of the biggest hits. The rarest car here is a BMW M3 CRT from 2011, which is one of only 67 examples. The E90 M3 CRT -short for the carbon -racing technology -received extensive carbon fiber panels, special bucket seats (also from CFRP) and a dilated S65 V8, which is now replacing 4.4 liters. The CRT for the auction here only has 168 kilometers, which is probably the existing example of the lowest mild. In 2021, a 700-mile example made $ 116,000 Bring a trailer with you. RM assumes that it will bring in between EUR 170,000 and EUR 220,000.
Another outstanding mixing tower is an M-Coupé from S54, which is completed in Phoenix Yellow Paint. While there is an S50 provider M-Roadster (but in “suitable” Dakar Yellow Paint, also for sale, this will probably achieve a lot more interest and money. With around 7,500 kilometers, it is certain that the estimated price of RM is estimated between EUR 80,000 and 100,000: and not worry: Even more modern offers are available if this is your bag. 2023 M4 CSL and 2016 M4 GTS round off a collection with the BMWs produced in the past ten years.

The Best of M Collection is part of the Munich 2025 auction from RM Sotheby. It goes out on October 18, 2025, so bring your ducks into a row if you plan to offer. This is an unmistakable, lustful collection, but you expect to pay high prices. For cars of this caliber in the state in which they are presented, this should of course not be surprising.
