So many cars that were built in 2024 BMW factory

The BMW Group is a manufacturing -Juggernaut that operates 33 factories worldwide that produce cars and engines. When we talk exclusively about the vehicle assembly, Spartanburg was the most productive location in 2024. It produced 396,117 SUVs, as small as the X3 and as large as the X7 and XM. The “home of the X” was also the largest automobile exporter in the USA and recorded an export value of over 10 billion US dollars.

2023S most productive car factory in the BMW Group Network, the Dadong plant in China, had to be satisfied with second place last year. Here the Langrad X5 is put together next to the 5 and the X3, which also has an elongated wheelbase. In addition, the IX3 is only built. However, the Clar-based electric crossover will retire in the second quarter of the year.

Regensburg took the last place on the podium, whereby the German plant found almost second place. The two factories only separated 1,452 cars. In the city in Eastern Bavaria, BMW puts together the compact crossovers X1 and X2. Up to 1,400 units are produced in Regensburg every day.

Although the Debrecen location is already listed, the new Hungarian factory only gathered prototypes in 2024. Series production of the second generation (new class) will only begin at the end of this year. Additional models, presumably the rumored IX4, will probably be built there later this decade.

The BMW Group also included factories that were operated by partners such as Magna Steyr’s work in Steyr. Here the Z4 rolls from the assembly line, although its days are numbered. The last roadster is said to be done in March 2026.

The work of VDL Nedcar in Born, Netherlands, is also listed. However, the production of the Mini Countryman and Mini Cooper Cabrio of the previous generation ended in February 2024. The models of the new generation are produced internally, especially in Leipzig or Oxford.

If Spotlight does not ring the bell, it is a joint venture between the BMW group and the large wall engine. It runs a newly built work in Zhangjiagen, in which the electrical mini-coop 3-door and Aceman are only produced. BMW had planned to build the two electric vehicles in Great Britain from 2026, but production was delayed indefinitely.
