For 2024, the BMW group continued its impressive growth and navigated a challenging market landscape. The heading figure? Remarkable 426,594 fully electric vehicles that have been delivered worldwide-a proof of sales of +13.5%. Both BMW and Mini contributed significantly to this milestone. BMW electrified the market with 368,523 BEV deliveries ( +11.6%), while the new product line -up of Mini operated with a jump of +24.3% with 56,181 EVS with a sold electric vehicle. Even Rolls-Royce helped sell 1,890 electric ghosts.
Jochen Goller, board member of BMW AG for customers, brands and sales, commented on the progress: “The BMW Group keeps its growth curve for fully electric vehicles under difficult market conditions. This is reflected both in significant sales growth for fully electric vehicles and in the clear increase in new BEV orders in Europe. We are confident that we can maintain our BEV sales growth in 2025 with our strong and expanded product line-up. “

While deliveries remained stable in the first half, the second half of the year saw headwind. Challenges such as delivery stops in connection with the integrated brake system (IBS) and the weaker demand in China led to a revised sales destination. Nevertheless, the BMW Group delivered 2,450,804 vehicles worldwide in 2024. Electrification played an increasingly important role, which corresponds to 24.2% of the total turnover, with the fully electric models killed 17.4%.
The BMW brand delivered a total of 2,200,177 vehicles (-2.3%). In Europe it received a market share with remarkable sales growth in Italy, France and Great Britain. The US market also grew, while the new BEV registrations in Germany increase despite the slowdown of EV demand.
BMW M achieved a new record with vehicles sold of 206,582 vehicles (+2.1%). Mini, despite sales of 17.1%, almost doubled in the fourth quarter and provided 29,698 fully electric models. Rolls-Royce, which adapt to the market shifts, provided 5,712 units (-5.3%) and continues to define luxury in his segment.
Despite mixed results across the markets, the BMW Group’s commitment to electrification and adaptability emphasized in 2024. With an extended BEV line -up that is planned for 2025, the company will build on its progress.
