The new BMW M5 looks great in a Ferrari color

With around 150 special colors to choose from, it is not easy to choose the right finish for the new M5. Fortunately, with the individual configurator you can specify a “G90” in all available colors. But while an online visualizer is beautiful, there is nothing to see as the reality sees. If you want to know what certain colors look like in the metal, you must keep an eye on the social media channels from BMW. Occasionally, special M5S appear on Facebook and Instagram.

A typical example: The BMW world is currently showing Bavaria’s Super Super Super Limousine in a relatively rare individual color. Rosso Corsa Uni “P7K” is one of several red colors for the electrified V8 monster. The color gives the German Bruiser an Italian flair because it traces its roots back into the 1920s when Maserati, Lancia and Alfa Romeo used it for their racing cars before becoming a synonym for Ferrari.

The M5 follows another BMW M product that was recently shown in Rosso Corsa (“Racing Red”). A few months ago, the i4 M60 slipped in its race disorders inspired by Ferrari when he replaced the i4 M50. But the shadow goes back to BMW’s palette after it appeared in an M3 of the former generation about a decade ago. Not long afterwards, the M4 also turned on the head with its painting inspired by Preighing.

While BMW emphasizes the depth of the M5 configurator, it is already preparing a facelifting with a medium cycle. As soon as? Well, yes and no. Although espionage recordings of the life cycle pulse have been in place for several months, the updated model will not start for two years. The M5 LCI is expected to accept some Nee-class design information as soon as the production begins in the second half of 2027. Of course, the Long roof G99 model will have the same look.

Inside, the revised M5 should make important changes. The IX3 debut in the next week will be the first BMW production car with Idrive X, a next generation infotainment system that rolls over the line-up before the end of the decade. The regular 5 Series (G60) should receive it with its 2026 facelift, followed by the M5 ranger list one year later.

In the meantime, BMW is pleased to report a strong demand for the M5, whereby the production is evenly divided between the two body styles. The M -Division had expected the limousine to be more popular, but global sales is approximately 50:50. Why? The Americans actually prefer the tours.
