BMWblog made its first trip to the Bimmer invasion of Los Angeles this year, and the event scale surprised us. What started as a regional meeting in Orlando a few years ago has developed into one of the world’s largest BMW community events in the world with shows on both coasts. The Los Angeles Edition attracted more than 10,000 people, 80 providers and 1,300 cars and transformed the Irwindale Speedway into a shop window of everything that represents the brand.
In the early days, the Bimmer invasion for fields, which were packed with G80 M3S and G82 M4, was known. These cars were back into force this year, but the line -up has become much more diverse. The organizers are now curating exhibits that speak with various corners of the BMW culture, from cultural heritage to motorsport to the latest adaptation.
The classic safe was cool
The classic safe was a highlight for everyone with an appreciation of history. Vintage 2002S, E30S and other icons were exhibited with the type of care that was normally reserved for museums. In particular, a build – the E30 LTO police car – had people who were traces of their traces. His exaggerated body and the paintwork made it one of the most photographed cars of the day.
BMW single colors on full display
At the other end of the spectrum, the “Taste The Rainbow” collection from BMW showed individual colors modern creativity. Hell, brave and impossible to ignore, the list has captured the spirit of the owners who want their cars to take off as well as they appear. The performance itself was with cars such as the R44 G87 M2 Drag Build, a machine that was built for the straightforward speed and the proof of how BMWS continues to inspire technical ambitions.

Elsewhere, the 50 years of the 3 Series exhibitions fans connected to one of the most important type signs from BMW, while the M -Division Hall brought together some of the brand’s best performance models. The ultimate hall increased the tone with rare and exclusive builds, and Samantha Tan Racing all reminded that the BMW culture on the show field does not hear – it extends on the track.
What makes the bimmer invasion unique is not just the cars, but the way in which generations bridges. You would see how teenagers take photos of Widebody G series M-cars that are only a few meters from families admire the perfectly preserved E30S. Long -standing owners and new enthusiasts stood side by side and talked about the details that they primarily hired the brand.
The ultimate BMW Car Show
This mix is the reason why the Bimmer invasion continues to grow. It’s more than a car show. It is a community event that complies with the width of the BMW passion -past, present and future. For us it was not just about visiting the first Los Angeles Edition, just reporting another event. It was about experiencing culture first -hand and seeing how strong it has become.
When the Speedway began to empty, one thing was clear: this would only be bigger. From Orlando to Los Angeles, the Bimmer invasion has developed into a tradition from coast to coast.
