  • iDrive: The BMW infotainment system, comparable to the MBux system from Mercedes-Benz. It integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • Merin or: BMW’s highest leather option from BMW.
  • Hofmeister Kink: A distinctive design element around the C-pillar.
  • Kidney grid: Each BMW has a kidney grille on the front fascia. This is probably the most important visual distinguishing feature of the brand (apart from the logo).

  • M performance: These models offer a sportier experience without being full-fledged M-cars. For example the 340i XDrive, which beats between 330i and M3.
  • M/m competition: These are the full-fledged high-performance vehicles from BMW (e.g. M2/M3/M4 and the X5 M/X6 M competition). While the M competition was previously offered as an optional package, it is now becoming an entry point for full-fledged M models.
  • CS (competitive sport)/CSL (competitive sport lightweight): Provision of increased performance, sharper handling and light components compared to the M/M competition variants (e.g. M2 CS, M4 CSL, 3.0 CSL).
