Spy shots of the M5 facelift have already shown that BMW will include some class -styling cues in the Super Limousine as part of its life cycle pulse. But what about the interior? Car Paparazzi did not expect the G90 yet, but significant changes are said to be in the works. In a new report it is claimed that the dashboard will be revised to record iDrive X. This is not the only change for the LCI model.
After a reliable member of the Bimmer Post Forums, the updated M5 offers a nicer interior. How? By more generous use of Alcantara. The report does not indicate where the synthetic textile is added with a soft touch to spice up things. The G90 is no stranger to Alcantara, since the headliner can already optionally be covered in the suede-like microfiber heap. Tail this field on the option list, and BMW also apply anthracitalcantara to the pillars and sun spears for the sedan and the more practical tours (G99).
But when will the revised M5 be released at all? You’ll have to wait. Finally, the deliveries of the new M5 models began a little more than six months ago, so that the LCI will not come onto the market soon. According to the same report, the production of the updated cars should begin in July 2027. If exactly, customer deliveries will be removed a little more than two years.

The M5 duo is expected to follow shortly after the regular 5 Series Facelifting, which was also tested. The previously mentioned new iDrive should only have an optional touchscreen for the passenger on site. If the standard 5 gets it, there is no reason why the range-toping version would not be so good. Hopefully BMW gives buyers to decide whether they want it or not.
BMW is currently selling the M5 models in a single equipment, but this could change as soon as the facelift arrives. There are reports on a second variant, although other details are unknown. Maybe the G90 and G99 will receive competitive sports treatment? The old F90 got the CS badge, so it would make sense that its successor produces a more stricter derivative. Especially when you consider how the M2, M3 sedan, M3 touring and M4 Coupé have received the CS treatment. Even if there is another M5 -CS in the pipeline, it is unlikely to debut next to the revised model. BMW may be waiting before the big weapons used after the same strategy for the smaller CS cars.
CS or not, it seems that BMW reacts to the criticism of its interior. The 5 Series received quietly upscale window checks at the beginning of this year via this rumor about the M5, which received more Alcantara. They are shiny black, i.e. a fingerprint magnet, but seem more beautiful than before after he has thrown the plastic look. In addition, we recently heard of planned upgrades for the X3 interior. Perhaps these subtle changes signal more refinement in the line -up?
