Tape and adhesive firm Avery Dennison Efficiency Tapes has launched some new tape and rubber adhesive merchandise for EV functions.

The only-sided, conformable and dielectric tape can present electrical insulation for EV batteries.

“This dielectric materials uniformly maintains its thickness, and the polyurethane facestock prevents electrical arcing, which may result in shorting and fires within the battery pack,” says the corporate. “The only-coated tape design is sturdy and creates an instantaneous bond, eliminating the necessity for remedy or dry instances.”

The Flame Robust Rubber adhesive is a flame-retardant and halogen-free adhesive which is advisable for runaway barrier, compression pad and electrical insulation functions. The adhesive meets the UL 94 VTM and UL 94 requirements. It’s a part of the Flame Robust rubber adhesive product line, and the corporate says it has increased tack and adhesion than the road’s acrylic and silicone adhesives.

The brand new adhesive will likely be out there in switch tape and double-coated variations.
