NGen Canada, a non-profit group that promotes superior manufacturing, has introduced a collection of recent innovation tasks to help the zero-emission car (ZEV) manufacturing ecosystem in Canada.
In 2021, NGen launched a name for proposals to help R&D tasks for ZEV manufacturing, methods, parts, and batteries. Now the group has introduced 15 new industry-led consortia that can execute tasks in numerous strategic areas.

These tasks are funded by NGen underneath Canada’s Innovation Supercluster Initiative. Up to now, NGen has authorised 166 tasks with 374 {industry} companions, investing $236 million of Supercluster funds and leveraging $371 million in new R&D investments by {industry}. NGen says its investments have created 18 new corporations, supported 45 new services, and generated $1.92 billion in income and licensing offers for companions.
