The DOE’s Workplace of Power Effectivity and Renewable Power (EERE) plans to subject a funding alternative for direct lithium extraction from geothermal brines round November of 2022.
The funding is aimed on the home manufacturing of battery-grade lithium hydroxide from geothermal brines, the diversification of the US provide of lithium hydroxide, the validation and demonstration of US pilot vegetation and related applied sciences and the event of remedies for influent and effluent streams.
