Hino Vans has begun testing and validation of Allison Transmission’s eGen Energy 100D electrical axle, which is designed for heavy-duty EVs.
The eGen Energy 100D has a 23,000-pound gross axle weight ranking, and consists of a two-speed gearbox, differential lock performance and two electrical motors. The motors can every generate 454 kW of steady energy and 652 kW of peak mixed energy.
The corporate says its community of distributors and sellers will present coaching, service and aftermarket assist to Hino and its prospects.
“The subsequent era of our eGen Energy 100D is now being constructed at our Auburn Hills, Michigan electrical axle growth and manufacturing facility,” mentioned Allison Transmission VP Rohan Barua.
