Canada-based graphene firm NanoXplore has bought a number of belongings from power storage supplies producer XG Sciences, which ended operations in July of 2022.

NanoXplore has agreed to buy XG’s mechanical milling platform, R&D lab, all issued and pending patents, in addition to its logos.

“XG Sciences has a high-quality patent portfolio in robust finish markets, and their components have enticing options and efficiency within the battery anode materials, notably in next-generation solid-state battery chemistries,” says NanoXplore. “On account of the transaction, NanoXplore now owns all patents and patent purposes together with a portfolio of seven patents (six issued and one pending) of silicon-graphene battery supplies and all XG logos.”

NanoXplore plans to move the belongings to Canada to arrange a battery materials R&D facility. In 2023, the corporate additionally plans to make use of the belongings to assemble a silicon-graphene anode materials manufacturing facility with a capability of 100-200 tons per 12 months.
