POSCO Chemical, a world supplies agency, has introduced a binding provide settlement with GM for high-nickel cathode lively materials (CAM). POSCO will present 13,770 billion Korean received (about $10 billion) value of CAM from 2023 to 2025.
POSCO plans to supply the CAM at its Gwayngyang facility in Korea. The GM and LG Power Answer three way partnership Ultium Cells will then use the CAM to supply battery cells at crops in Warren, Ohio, Spring Hill, Tennessee and Lansing, Michigan.
“GM has contractually secured all battery uncooked materials to assist its aim of 1 million items of EV capability in North American by the tip of 2025,” says POSCO Chemical. “This contains lithium, nickel, cobalt and full CAM provide.”
