Punch Powertrain and Stellantis have agreed to broaden their current manufacturing partnership by including one other manufacturing web site.
The 50/50 three way partnership, referred to as Punch Powertrain PSA e-Transmissions Meeting, manufactures electrified dual-clutch transmissions (eDCT/DT2) for Stellantis’s subsequent technology of delicate hybrid and plug-in hybrid fashions.
A producing web site in Metz, France started producing electrified transmissions in late 2022. Now the businesses have agreed to construct one other manufacturing facility in Mirafiori, Italy. Punch says it expects the positioning to start manufacturing within the second half of 2024.
