Charged EVs | Samsung SDI begins work on second battery manufacturing unit in Malaysia


Samsung SDI has begun establishing its second battery manufacturing facility in Malaysia. The corporate says the plant, which is situated in Seremban, will start mass manufacturing of PRiMX 21700 cylindrical battery cells for energy instruments, micro-mobility functions and EVs in 2024. The corporate plans to speculate 1.7 trillion received ($1.3 billion) within the manufacturing strains by the point the plant is completed in 2025.
