2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63, 2024 BMW i5: headlines in the car news

A redesigned Mercedes-Benz C-Class arrived for 2022, and for 2024 the car will spawn its AMG-developed C 63 variant. The new C 63 SE Performance has a 4-cylinder hybrid drive with up to 671 hp, which we have just tested.

The battery-electric version of the upcoming facelifted BMW 5 Series is in testing, and the latest prototype to be seen is an estate variant. Expected to be called the i5 Touring, the electric wagon should offer a choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a range of more than 300 miles on a single charge.

Geely is reportedly planning to list its Zeekr brand via an IPO in the US capital markets. Zeekr is a Chinese EV brand that only launched its first vehicle in 2021 but is already looking to expand into export markets.
