- The second model based on the new AMG.EA platform
- The vehicle is an electrical SUV in full size, which is based on an electrical buoyancy based on the AMG.EA platform
- Tared prototypes indicate styling, which is inspired by the AMG concept of 2022
Mercedes-Benz plans to start dozens of new models in the next two years, including both electric vehicles and gas-powered models.
One of the new vehicles in the pipeline is one Electric SUV in full size Developed by the AMG Performance Division as an independent model, similar to the current GT and SL sports car as well as the GT 4-door coupé lift.
AMG announced plans for the model last autumn, and now a prototype at the inner group of cold water tests near the Arctic circle in northern Swedenwhere the temperatures can drop up to -40 degrees at this time of year.
A teaser sketch, which was published in addition to the original confirmation of the AMG vehicle, indicates a slim, almost fast design with powerful hats. The latest spy shots show additional details, including carbon ceramic brake brake blinds and a rear end, which was presented in 2022 to the concept of eyesight Aston Martins DBX.
Mercedes-Benz Vision AMG concept
The AMG concept vision takes a closer look at an electric four-door buoyancy that serves as an alternative with zero emissions to the current GT 4 door coupé. The electrical buoyancy will also be tested and should arrive next year, probably as a 2027 model for the USA, the electrical SUV is expected to follow 2027 and arrive as a model 2028.
Both vehicles are based on the New AMG.EA platformwhich can debut in the buoyancy and also support gas engines, including a new electrified V-8, which AMG is developing. AMG has previously confirmed that the AMG.EA platform will introduce and use a new high-performance battery concept Axial flux electromotor technology. The battery is expected to use the specialist knowledge of the AMG formula -1 -ktwissen, especially with regard to energy discharge, restore and possibly cooling down.
The Axial Flux engines probably benefit from Yasa’s knowledge, a British company that specializes in high-performance electric motors that Mercedes has acquired 2021. Axial flux engines are lighter and more compact than conventional radial flux engines with a similar edition. For example, an engine with a weight of a little more than 50 pounds can be installed approximately 480 hp and several units. With an engine on each axis, the total output of 1,000 hp could approach. However, the production of these motors is more complex than conventional radial flux engines, which makes it much more expensive.
There is still no indication of what the new electrical AMGs are called, but Mercedes is shifting to a new name strategy in which electrical models have a “a” “With EQ technology“Descriptor while using hybrid models”With EQ hybrid technology. ““ EQ comes from Mercedes’ sub-fire for EVS, which the car manufacturer starts for its next generation of EVS. The new name convention has already been introduced in the electrical version of the G-Class SUV, although it is still unclear whether AMG will take over the same practice. In this case, the new SUV could be called something like the AMG GT SUV with EQ technology.
