Karma Automotive presented the Amaris series’s new plug-in hybrid coupe on Thursday during the first Create Karma product presentation of the company in Irvine, California.
Karma prepared to start a separate coupé, the fully electric caveya, in 2026. The company said on Thursday that this model would be delayed to 2027 because the demand for electric vehicles in the high-end sector changed. The Amaris will help close the gap by starting the market at the end of 2026. An Ivara Electric SUV is also due in 2027.
In contrast to the Kaveya, which is designed on a new dedicated EV platform that can deliver over 1,000 hp, the Amaris will use a modified version of the platform that has found the revero limousine in Karas sole vehicle that is currently for sale to accelerate its development. The Revero platform can actually trace its roots to the original Fisker Karma, which was introduced at the beginning of the last decade. Karma was published from the remains of the original Fisker, who went bankrupt in 2013.
Karma also said on Thursday that the previously announced Gyesera Electric Limousine will initially arrive as a series plug-in hybrid and compared to the original design compared to the original design. The Gyesera Series plug-in hybrid is due later this year and will replace the revero that has been offered for sale since the 2017 model year.

“We build a number of vehicles that offer an extraordinary EV torque and an extraordinary performance with carefree free cruises, a combination that only [series plug-in hybrids] Can deliver, ”said Marques McCammon, Kara’s president, in a statement.
Series plug-in hybrids, which are often referred to as electric vehicles in the extension area, have electrical drive lines, but with smaller batteries compared to the typical Ev. Instead, a gas engine acts as a generator to absorb the battery and in some cases also sends electricity directly to the electric motors in situations with high loads.
For the Amaris and probably also the Gyesera-Warma, use a turboch 4-cylinder engine as a generator instead of the 3-cylinder 3 cylinder currently found in the revero, which is based on two electrom motors on the rear axle to generate a peak 536 hp. The revero is also delivered with a 28 kWh battery that can deliver karma estimates of 80 miles of pure electrical reach. Karma has not given any further details about the Amaris drive train, but said that the car is accelerated to 60 miles per hour in less than 3.5 seconds and achieved a leader at 165 miles per hour.
The pricing and the beginning of deliveries for the Amaris and Gyesera were not announced. Production is expected to take place in the work of Karma in Moreno Valley, California.
