The new pan, the oil pump and the pickup were together with a table stick and a seal. The new and old oil pump is the same, but I used all new parts. The front swamp pan fit and loosened the steering connection, then the engine was used again.
After the engine was set up again, I tried the new gear cross and mount, which did not fit, it was too high and put the gear against the floor of the ground.
Whether it is the cross ladder or the mount that was wrong.
I cut out tabs from a steel plate and put it on the top of the intersection element to lower it and the gear.
About the tabs are welded on the spot. Below is the finish cross member before it is painted.
As soon as the engine and the gearbox were screwed in place and all screws were put on, I was able to continue with the header, which also became a problem.
The passenger side went pretty well when I found out how I could keep it in place while I had screwed it into a block. You cleared everything.
The driver’s side was another story that hit the 7 and 8 pipe on the power steering box. I first tried to heat with a flashlight, and then let the tube enter with a spherical pine hammer, which did not work after several attempts. I had to burn up the engine, increase it, then I mark the header wear, which it changed and surrounded the pipe and rehabilitation to delete the steering box and then put everything back together.
According to this fiasco, the next challenge was the new cooler and the electric fan that were delivered by car. The plastic monday straps that were delivered with the fan did not like me and made my own aluminum brackets. Shown on the left.
The aluminum clips kept the fan without having to use the plastic rods through the core of the cooler.
The electrical system loosened the new water pump disc with a 1/4 “that did not give any space for the installation of fan belts. Two fans came by car, so I will try the other fan to see if it offers me more release.
The new starter, a wire generator and the starter magnet are installed and the cabling began until the final termination.
I tried the attachment class of the accenterer, but she did not turn out with the new straps and used the Aftermarket clips with a few modifications to delete the valve cover.
The water pump disc had to be a 1/2 “aligned to align yourself with the crankshaft disc. You can see the fan relays and all mounted in the lower bracket.
As soon as the problems of cooler / fan freedom have been solved, I will continue. A nice day until next time.
