Alfa Romeo is a name that all car enthusiasts worship. One of the oldest brands in the world has a long and famous racing history and has created a long list of enthusiastic cars since the beginning. Even Henry Ford admitted that when he saw an Alfa Romeo, he taped his respect. When Alfa Romeo returned to American Shores, it brought his latest examples of Italian engineering. One of these models was the Stelvio, a good -looking modern SUV with as much focus on sport as on the utility.
Just take a look at the lines. From the Tri-Lobular front grille a long-standing Alfa Romeo-Design-Cue through the swollen fenders and the sexy curve of the belt line to the pert heck, the stelvio is a sexy-looking SUV. The SUV is not only a freight carrier, but also a freight carrier with sporting skills.
Inside there is a high-end interior that continues the stylish design of the Stelvio. The dashboard and door thresholds are wrapped with beautiful leather seams. The seats are comfortable and strengthened to keep them on the spot when driving quickly. The dashboard is easy to read at a glance and all controls are easy to find. The switchgear feels very high quality, very precisely in its movement and the feeling. The only thing missing are ventilated front seats. Even the rear seats have a lot of legroom. These back seats also fold flat and offer even more cargo space if you need it.
Under the bonnet is Alfa Romeos Stellar 2.0l turbocharger 4-cylinder engine. At this point you may roll with your eyes and say “four-cylinder?! Puh-Leeze”. But this little four -cylinder is impressive. And smooth. Despite the high edition, you don’t feel any vibration from it. It displays 280 hp and 306 LB-FT torque. Not incredible numbers, but it somehow feels stronger. And the more you look out, the better sounds and go. 0-60 appears in just more than 5 seconds and is turned out at 150 miles per hour.

But it’s not just fast. It’s also about. The Stelvio feels steadfast in corners. Throw it into a narrow corners and the Stelvio feels better than any other SUV on the market. It’s incredibly smooth. The suspension puts on and the Stelvio gracefully slips through the apexes every corner that it encounters. There the well -kept seats come in, keep the driver and passengers on the spot and control.
The journey is excellent. The suspension is firm and sporty, but it is best to absorb the hardest sidewalks. Surprisingly, the overwhelming feeling is the smoothness of the journey. I am not sure which magic the wizards of Milan worked, but the smoothness of the trip is wonderful. There are very little wind or tire noises. Just a nice graceful journey, an unsurpassed mobility and an engine that wants to run.

The brakes do an excellent work in speed and also feel well with it. There is no squeak or a moment of indefinence if you push the brake pedal. It feels very intuitive and linear. They inspire trust.
The steering is also very simple and intuitive. It is easy to place the Stelvio directly at the top of a corner or evenly between the lines of a narrow parking space in the local home depot.
The Stelvio adds even more trust to the driving experience and distributes its performance to the Q4 all-wheel drive system from Alfa Romeo through an 8-speed gear. It helps the Stelvio to drive the road and also offers plenty of traction in bad weather. How are both doing so well? This is the beauty of the Q4 system and the DNA drive mode. With the DNA selector, the driver can adapt the drive element to the task. D represents “dynamically” and maximizes the performance departure. N represents “natural” and is a good everyday drive mode. A represents the “all weather” and rules the performance so that it can carefully select on a snow -covered road.

The Stelvio is expected to reach 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 on the highway for 25 MPG. Not outstanding, but certainly acceptable.
Alfa Romeos Stelvio is one of the most inspiring and sporty SUVs on the market. In my opinion it is also one of the best. Do you dare to be different? Do you dare to drive something unique? Do you dare to drive something that distinguishes you from the other SUV drones and brings you a thumbs up from real automotive enthusiasts? The Stelvio is the answer.
