2025 Aston Martin Roadster Review: Windgepect Joy

It doesn’t have to be that way. While more and more sports car manufacturers are turning to electrified performance increases, Aston Martin proves that there is another way-with the new perspective, more tempting than ever as an open top roadster.

Nowadays it seems that you cannot start a new sports car without any form of electric drive. Aston Martin asks to differ, and with his new Vantage Roadster there are not only fans of the brand a reason to cheer. The stocky, compact roadster is wonderfully old -fashioned, a memory of a time when cars were caused to move the soul. For 209,000 €, the shamelessly beautiful Great Britain grumbles and rumbles into your garage – and into your dreams. Hopefully it won’t be the last of its kind.

Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche – these brands are now organizing new models that can run almost silently. It is modern, it is future -oriented and inevitable. But it does not block every car lover – especially those who already have a fleet of EVS and hybrids in their garages. Sometimes you want to escape, long for a car for a sensual object and let it take it away on short streets. This is exactly what Aston Martin delivers. Apart from its rich racing team tree, Aston, with its unique mix of performance, elegance and exclusivity, continues to win among the self-confident competitors.

The new vantage is no different. Just like the coupé, the roadster captivates, the roof on or below. It offers the well-known aston recipe of AMG-Sourced Firepower, finely coordinated chassis dynamics and a design that invites you to rigid or not the fabric roof. With the upper Down, the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 roars and pressed out an ophthalia of 482 kW (665 hp) and 800 Nm torque. This performance means 0–100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and a top speed north of 325 km/h. Not that it is really important; Anyone who needs this regularly should probably choose the Coupé version, which weighs only 60 kg less.

But that does not decrease the quality of the fabric roof, which is excellently isolated and opened or closes in almost seven seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The roof can enjoy the roof down and on the way into the hills. The eight -speed automatic transmission selects its shifts depending on the drive mode with finesse. Massive 410 -mm brakes at the front make your work brilliant, and although the steering is on the heavy side, it is exactly. An almost perfect weight distribution of 49:51 and stiff chassis help this roadster temporarily not a spring weight and a slightly oversized go-kart with mountain passes. The electronic rear differential manages the traction efficiently by putting on corners and promotes early acceleration to the next section. Here the fuel consumption leaves the official 12.3 l/100 km number behind.

There are some defects that also affect the otherwise brilliant package with the elegant leather internal. With this performance, an all-wheel drive system would be a worthy addition-especially in colder months. The digital instruments are not part of a sports car of € 200,000. They look more like something from a small Asian assembly line. A proper, modern head-up display is missing as well as in its rival the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. The central display is hardly readable with the roof. An electric wind repellent? Not here. As for the gaps in driver aid technology, they are easier to assign. The vantage, especially in a Roadster form, is not designed as an everyday mileage. Nevertheless, Aston Martin could only do this extraordinary machine a little more to be future -proof so that we can enjoy it in the coming years.
