Bentley has said goodbye to its twelve cylinder engines. This includes the Power SUV Bentayga, since even its speed performance version now has to make up with only eight cylinders – although it still offers 650 hp.
Many Bentley enthusiasts grumbling; They simply refuse to be satisfied with a V8 and long for the return of this elegant twelve -cylinder format. However, your complaints are less about performance itself, since the new Bentayga speed works as impressive as you would expect. This speed SUV of the latest generation is driven by the familiar four liter twin turbo V8, but in contrast to the group vulnerabilities of the Lamborghini Urus SE and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid-Muss, he forego the additional electric motor, which delivers almost 200 additional PS. As a result, the V8 of the Bentayga Speed creates a still significant but slightly surprising 478 kW / 650 hp and a mighty torque of 850 Nm, which is available between 2,250 and 4,500 rpm. For comparison: the Urus SE generates 800 hp and the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid offers 739 hp. However, thanks to the all-wheel drive, an automatic gear of eight-speed and huge 22 or 23-inch wheels, thanks to the all-wheel drive, manages a 3.4-second sprint up to 100 km/h thanks to the all-wheel drive. The top speed of 310 km/h is even the most demanding clientele that little wants.
The same applies to the sound landscape. The sports exhaust system from Bentayga Speed transmits the V8’s intention with such an authority that its power is never doubtful. And for those who are looking for even more presence: an optional Akrapovič system delivers an even deeper growling out of his quad tailpipes. Comfort and Bentley remain unchanged under the available driving modes. However, sports mode has been revised to offer more precise steering, improved driving processing and a closer driver connection. For the first time, the dynamic setting enables drift angles that are controlled, while “torque vectoring by braking” sharpens the curve and increases the power supply at the output by the rear steering. If the standard brake system is not sufficient, optional carbon ceramico brakes are available for superior stop performance.
Visually, the Bentley Bentayga speed differs from its taming siblings with darker styling accents, a dark roof, a chrome speed badge and a selection of 22 or 23-inch wheels. Both headlights and taillights are tinted. Inside, the most powerful Bentayga, which ever offers Bentley’s typical luxury with sporty highlights. Speed -specific ads and numerous speed logos give it an additional touch of exclusivity.
