Aston Martin has given its already effective vantage a slight update in the form of the new S package to attract fresh buyers with a single additional letters.
When it comes to cutting your model range into ever finer slippers, Porsche remains the undisputed master of alphabet soup. But Aston Martin clearly learns from his Stuttgart counter, and nowhere is the Vantage S, which is offered as a coupé and roadster, a modest output from 489 kW / 665 hp to 500 kW / 680 hp, while the torque remains unchanged at 800 Nm. The top speed is now 325 km/h.
According to Aston Martin, the reaction and mapping of the throttle valve valve were refined under the philosophy of the Vantage. In the real use, the improvement of the 0.1 second improvement of the sprint of 0–100 km/h-now 3.3 seconds is likely to be unnoticed, as well as the remaining subtle improvements in the drive train. The revisions for feathers, dampers and gear assembly are also okay, which should give this already striking machine a somewhat sportier edge.
The cosmetic upgrades are more visible: a carbon hood with prominent ventilation stands, S -badge and a large rear spoiler that can generate up to 44 kg of additional output at maximum speed. Also in the S-Package, which is available from the fourth quarter this year, are striking 21-inch wheels, half-nilin leather and contrast seams, which continue through the seat belts, the headrests and the switch of the drive mode. Expect the pricing at around € 200,000.
