BMW finally announced today that the new class SUV will be kept alive for a second generation. The electric crossover is completely different from the outgoing Clar-based model and marks the premiere of an M-performance version. Sources that are familiar with the matter have informed us that the hottest IX3 will be at the start of the M60 XDrive.
What to expect? A lot of strength and reach. With good authority, we have that the dual engine EV delivers over 600 hp. To be more precise, somewhere in the region from 620 to 630 hp. This means that BMW X5 m competitive performance brings to the smaller X3 segment. Compared to the gas model, the IX3 M60 XDrive will also have a significant thrust that is concerned with the X3 M50 at 381 hp. BMW has already excluded, another gas X3 M.
The battery size remains a mystery, but BMW has already announced that all NEE class EVS will have at least 600 kilometers (373 miles). We have learned that the M power model covers approximately 750 to 760 kilometers with a single load that is 466 to 472 miles. The numbers are applicable in the WLTP cycle. The story has taught us that the numbers of the EPA tend to be smaller. Nevertheless, the IX3 M60 will be one of the longest electrical SUVs ever.
We believe that fewer versions of the “Na5” will have an even longer range, in particular a lighter single-engine variant with rear-wheel drive.
