BMW presses the reset button about how cars design it. It will not be long before we get our first official look at the fresh design language. If you arrive later this year, the second generation IX3 will initiate the modern new class era. After that, the i3 sedan will come onto the market in 2026. But Bayern have made it clear that the fresh look is not exclusively for electric cars. This means that future gas cars will also accept the NK styling.

One of the first models with internal combustion engines to take over the new class topic is the eighth generation 3. Codename “G50”, the sports sedan has already been discovered as a disguised prototype. Sure enough, it looked very similar to the full electrical i3. We didn’t need a crystal ball to see the future of BMW’s best -selling car. The 2023 Vision New Class concept gave us an official preview of the newly invented 3 Series. It is an enormous deviation from the current “G20”, and as with every generation, people will have good and bad things to say. Our speculative rendering focuses on the M350, which will be the M power model. Today’s M340i will replace, and we have good authority that the M340D cannot receive a successor.

We are still not entirely convinced that M -Performance -cars earn a quad emissions system. BMW now even puts four tips on the M135 and M235, so that it will not undoubtedly have it. An M3 “G84” with full fat will soon follow in the life cycle. BMW holds the inline-Six engines for both hot derivatives. However, the M department could simplify the M3 line -up by selling the car exclusively with an automatic transmission and XDrive.

Before the next 3 Series will arrive in the M3 in 2027 and 2028, BMW will mark this year 50 years of 3 this year in the concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este.
