Audi has just debut the latest addition to her line -up, the A6 Avant. The model is positioned exactly that they are crossed with the 5-seater tour and will not be offered on the US market. Our first impression is that our Longroof friends in overseas will have a fairly difficult decision because the A6 Avant pulls out all stops.
Outer design
The A6 Avant debut in the surprising color of less likely Brown, but details are still easy to see. (The actual name is Madeira Brown Metallic.) The A6 Avant gets narrower headlights, considerably larger air intake along the side of the front bumper and a wider front grill. This means that an aggressive one – but maybe a little more overcrowded and cheaper – becomes.
One thing that the 5er touring is definitely missing is the exhaust tip of the A6 Avant in the back. Apparently they are real and look good when the black diffuser runs under the rear bumper cover. Both cars offer a variety of Slick Alloy Wheel designs, and the 21-inch wheels that can be seen on this car look fantastic. The A6 Avant is a little shorter and narrower than the 5. The decision between 5 and A6 is largely a question of taste. The A6 looks more aggressive. The 5 series touring is more reserved.
Interior design
The 5er touring is larger than the A6 Avant. The 5 Series intuitively has more storage space – 1,700 liters compared to the 1,534 liters of the Audi. Both receive a 40/20/40 split-folding rear bench. Both cars offer a lot of screens from the cockpit, and Audi even gives them one for the passenger. That will soon come to the 5 Series. Both have a steering wheel with square floor and minimal button controls. After all, everything is on the screen these days. They are more similar than different. As from the outside, this largely depends on simple preference.
Performance
We are not yet looking at the performance versions of the A6 Avant. If we see an S6 Avant-or better a V8-RS6 Avant- we have a better idea of the upper limits of this housing. We know that the A6 Avant offers three motor options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine, a 2.0-liter diesel four-pot and a 3.0-liter V6 with two turbo. Each combined with Quattro all -wheel drive and an automatic transmission. Both the V6 and the diesel are mild hybrids.
The Top Dog V6 makes a decent 270 kW (367 hp, 362 hp) and 550 Newton measuring devices (£ 406 foot) torque. In contrast, BMW 360 kW (489 hp), which is quite a gap. Historically, BMW offers a more appealing driving experience, and we tend to think that this will also apply here.
technology
As we said, the A6 Avant and the 5 series tour offer a lot of screen properties. This means tons of Gizmos, devices and apps that are only tangential to the ride. Audi, for example, indicates that the A6 Avant Chatgpt-In-introduced infotainment offers. On the other hand, BMW offers air conditioning for games in the car. However you cut it into slices, both offer pretty much every modern tech function that a luxury vehicle can expect reasonably. An area in which the 5 Series are definitely characterized is the usability – the physical iDrive controller is still alive and good, at least for the time being.
The A6 Avant looks good, although we won’t see it in America. At least not without a little badge, be it RS or all -road. The Avant’s debut is about to be a limousine variant that comes to the States – but we are ready to bet that it is not as cool as this thing. What do you think about the new A6 Avant?
