The 3 Series may be the typical German luxury limousine, but to be honest, we are not surprised that BMW China celebrates for the 50th anniversary of the car. Limousins are still a lucrative segment there, even in 2025 when all their neighbors seem to drive an SUV. The 50 -year edition broke cover at the beginning of the month and we have now seen the car in the car in the metal in the car.
BMW sells this limited taste as 330i with a standard or long wheelbase, together with a completely electrical i3 that is offered exclusively in LWB form. We had the opportunity to get to know each other with the normal 330i in Thundernight Metallic. Although many of us know this special color from the Z4 and other models, the 3 -year edition is the first BMW in China to contain this external finish. Alternatively, customers can order the car in Frozen Pure Gray, another first for the Chinese market.
The golden anniversary of the 3 Series uses in a new 19-inch wheel design with a two-color finish and a y-spoke layout. Take a close look at the B -pillars and you will see a white “50 Years” logo that celebrates BMW’s best -selling car for half a century. The same graphic appears next to the IDRIVE turntables on the center console.

Speaking of cabin, the steering wheel with a red 12 o’clock mark, could indicate that you are looking at an M340i or even an M3. The carbon fiber cladding also ensures a performance -oriented note than in a typical 330i. BMW tells us that the 50 -year edition has combined the first 3 Series in China and combined Alcantara accents with Sensatec (artificial leather). A large “3” graphic that is embroidered in the headrests gives a finishing touch.
How much does it cost? BMW asks 344,900 RMB or a little more than 47,000 US dollars to current exchange rates. Only 1,000 cars are carried out in the specification of the standard rhine base 330i, and all are limited to China. However, there is a good chance that additional special editions of the 3 Series will be launched in other markets over the course of the year.
In the meantime, the 50th anniversary of the next month in the Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este will be celebrated with a special exhibition.
