It is the beginning of a new design era at BMW and also has a direct models. How do we know? Car Paparazzi have already discovered the 5 Series G60 tests with NEE class -styling cues. For this reason, we decided to find out what the prototypes were hidden under the camouflage. Our exclusive rendering is based on the only available M -Performance version, the full electrical i5 M60.
We believe that the digital design exercise is more than just a shot in the dark. It combines information from the spyer prototype with the concept of 2023 Vision New class. BMW has already confirmed that limousines will take over the new horizontal radiator grille design. Bayern opt for vertical kidneys for SUVs, as the Vision Nee class X 2024 shows.

We weren’t big fans of BMW’s new rear light design on the limousine concept. They sat too high in relation to the rear. However, we would certainly not make up that the taillights on our imaginary i5 M60 are illustrated. The shape and size of the subsequent lighting come from the existing 5 series, but with the segmented inner graphics of the Vision NEE class.
Since the profile of the limousine is more of a life cycle impulse than a next generation car, it will probably remain unchanged. However, BMW is expected to eat the luxurious family car with new body colors and bike designs in order to make things look sharp from every angle. Don’t look for the new electrically operated winglets that replace the door handles because the prototype does not contain it. The skytop will be the company’s first model with this setup, while the first series production vehicle of the X5 (G65) is expected. The larger X7 (G67) has already been embedded with the new system in the belt line.

However, the use of the old door handles continues to offer access to a thoroughly updated interior dominated by Idrive X. BMWS Infotainment-Tech comes to the 5 Series/i5 facelift, which means that a prominent central display is the focus. We took the freedom to draw the LCI model with a revised dashboard in which the panoramic view display is located.
The concept of marketing refers to an upper screen on the windshield base, which extends over the full width of the dashboard and is divided into nine tiles: three fixed sections that replace the instrument cluster and six customizable zones. Drivers can pull widgets from the touchscreen to select what the panoramic views are supposed to show.

Although our rendering holds the iDrive dial, BMW has already announced that the Rotary will expire. It remains unclear whether it will be removed from existing models during updates or only from the upcoming vehicles of the next generation. Our guess is a complete exit when you consider that it has already disappeared from the compact models from BMW.
We are waiting for a long time to see reality. Although prototypes are already being tested, the 5 Series LCI will not be debuted soon. We hear that production will begin in March 2027, which means that we are still removed from the official unveiling for about a year and a half.
