BMW levels icy showdown with 15 cars on an ice hockey track

As strange as the lead image may be, there is a perfectly logical explanation for why so many cars are parked on an ice hockey track. BMW has signed a sponsorship contract with the HC Slovan Bratislava team in Slovakia. Through the local dealers Bavaria Bratislava, the luxury brand celebrated the newly colored partnership 2025–2027 by placing no less than 15 cars on the ice.

The line -up contains the 1 -series -fluiebheck, 3 series -car, 5 series -sedans and the SUVS X1, X2 and X5. All are regular versions, with the exception of the 1 series on the right, which seems to be an M135 -hot hat. Although some of these models are available with electrical drive lines, BMW simply kept things by deciding on combustion engines. It is unlikely that the cars will not remain marked for much longer. Logic suggests that everyone will be dressed in the HC Slovan Bratislava painting.

The fleet is not only used to transport players between games, but also for leisure activities in the low season. The 15 company cars were handed over with the three -year contract during a dedicated event. According to AC Milan and Real Madrid, HC Slovan Bratislava is the next sports club that works with BMW and now acts as an official automobile partner.

The team is one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in Europe and pursues its roots until 1921. By chance, BMW AG was founded at around the same time. In 1922 the name and assets of Bavarian Motors Werke GmbH were broadcast to Bayerische Flightzugwerke AG.

HC Slovan Bratislava organizes games in the Ondrej Nepela Arena, which started as an artificial ice rink in 1940. It can currently take up more than 10,000 spectators. The association has won nine championships to date, most recently in 2022. Two of its players were included in the NHL Hall of Fame and six in the IIHF Hall of Fame.
