BMW M Motorsport misses the SPA 24H podium after the punishment of the track limits

After a historic Nürburgring triumph, BMW’s push for another 24-hour endurance victory in Spa appears only. The 2025 crowdstrike 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps came to an end-and while BMW M motorsport arrived in the Ardennes with high hopes and swing, the end result left the team with mixed feelings. After their sensational overall victory at Nürburgring only a week earlier, the factory squad from Rowe Racing and Team WRT did not achieve a podium in spa. Her dreams dissolved in the final phases of an exciting race.

The #98 Rowe Racing BMW with Nürburgring award winners Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn and Raffaele Marciello had one of the most dramatic weekends of everyone. They climbed into the top during a perfectly time-controlled yellow flag phase and remained a top three-finish most of the night. In the last hour, a number of Track Limits violations led to a 30-second penalty after the race for Marciello, which rushed down the car from the third to fifth place. Nevertheless, Farfus came out with an important consolation from spa: he now heads the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) thread driver.

The #998 BMW M4 GT3 Evo, which contains the striking “gen m” paint, also seemed to be intended for a strong finish. Piloted by Philipp Eng, Dan Harper and Max Hesse, the car ran for a large part of the event in the top three. But a poorly time -controlled yellow flag period cost it valuable track position, and a suspension failure towards the end forced premature retirement. They came in 29th place.

For the Belgian Outfit team WRT, Spa was a home race and a hard-fought. The #32 BMW M4 GT3 Evo by Ugo de Wilde, Charles Weerts and Kelvin van der Linde ended a respectable seventh place, close to the car of Sheldon van der Linde #31 in Eight man. Technical setbacks and repairs with medium breed cost the No. 31 crew a round, but their resilience saved fixed points.

Below the top-class entry No. 46 made headlines with Kevin Magnussens GT3 debut. The former F1 driver merged with motorsport -legend Valentino Rossi and experienced Pro -René -Rast. Although she was not in a panel work, her 11th place was a credible representation for a first trio.

While the cars withdrawn from the factory administrations, BMW still called for a podium in the silver class. The #42 BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Century Motorsport, which was powered by Jarrod Waberski, Will Moore and Mex Jansen, took third place in the class brach in a crowded 74-car field for the British team in the cutlery for the British team.

Lamborghini finally steel in the spa in the spa and claimed a long-awaited first overall victory in the GT3 era of the event, thanks to the Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper and Luca Engstler, by Grasser Racing Team. Porsche followed exactly and ended the recent Intercontinental GT Challenge -Siegessery from BMW. The Ferrari factory efforts ensured third place after the punishment of BMW, whereby Alessandro Pier Guidi, Alessio Rovera and Vincent Abril serve late in the race.
