There is certainly no shortage of special M4S, but this is exclusively for China. The M4 edition Nürburgring was presented at Auto Shanghai 2025 today and is reminiscent of the official German racetrack for the official German racetrack over a quarterly century. It is limited to only 53 units to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the M Division.
So what makes it special? For the beginning, the G82 Coupé bears a individually frozen, deep green color, an allusion to the notorious nicknames of the Nürburgring, “Green Hell”, shaped by Jackie Stewart. The red outline on the kidney grille reminds us of the M4 CS, while the 826 m bronze wheels complete the striking attitude. The black decay pictures on the bonnet and on the trunk lid add an additional visual drama.
Open the doors and the thresholds offer red “Nürburgring” scrap with a 1/53 script that indicates the rarity of this car. The standard carbon front fronts are adorned with the layout of the circuit on the headrests. BMW wraps the steering wheel in Alcantara and uses a lot of red seams in the cabin.

The M4 Edition Nürburgring is mechanically based on the XDRIVE version of competition, without hardware changes. The 3.0-liter twin turbo inline-Six produces 523 hp and falls shortly before the 543 hp of the M4 CS. Nevertheless, it is not a slouch, since 100 km/h only takes 3.5 seconds or 3.2 seconds with the one-foot rollout method.
As you may expect, exclusivity has a price. BMW asks 1,088,000 Renminbi (approximately $ 150,000 to current exchange rates), which is more than a standard -xdrive coupé from the standard -M4 competition. While you can specify a regular G82 to look almost identical, the details on the topic of Nürburgring really stand out.
The M4 edition Nürburgring shares the limelight in the car Shanghai with another special car in China. We talk about the 3-year-old edition, a limousine with long bikes that celebrates half a century of the 3 Series.
