BMW reveals X3 and X1 vehicles for emergency services

BMW brings a fleet of emergency vehicles to Rettmobil 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for rescue and mobility that takes place in Fulda. One of the highlights is the new BMW X3 (G45), which is presented in several specially configured versions for fire departments and other emergency services.

BMW X3: Ready for every mission

The brand new BMW X3 shows its eventing and security registration information by appearing in Rettmobil as a fully equipped fire engine. The BMW X3 for emergency services in several configurations shows special paintwork and technical solutions that are tailored to various mission profiles.

The most important visual elements include the wrap with a high visibility of fire brigade with a multi -part light signal system, the main units of which are seamlessly integrated into the roof rails. Emergency crews can choose between DBS 4000 or DBS 5000 signal systems, both of which include digital radio pre-installation and optional additional antennas.

For increased visibility, the roof biaCons can be supplemented by LED indicators that are integrated into the exterior mirrors and the rear tailgate. These upgrades ensure that the vehicle remains clearly visible in all emergency scenarios.

The SUV is driven by a four-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X3 20D XDRIVE and also has a dedicated auxiliary battery with two external streams, so that emergency teams can charge mission-critical devices on the way. A 2-kilogram fire extinguisher is also adapted as the standard for the initial reaction of fire fighting.

In addition to the X3, BMW also presents the BMW X1 (U11) in the fire brigade paint. This compact model, which is shown as BMW X1 XDRIVE25E plug-in hybrid, offers an electrical range of up to 83 kilometers (WLTP), which means that it is ideal for short-term, emission-free operations.

The fire brigade X1 is equally equipped with a roof-mounted lighting rod, LED indicators and additional LEDs in the tailgate area to ensure that the visibility standards for emergency vehicles are completely adhered to.
