Here’s what Real Madrid’s BMW players are driving this season

The partnership between BMW and Real Madrid is getting stronger. This week the first team players received their new BMW vehicles for the 2024/25 season at a handover event at the club’s Valdebebas training complex. The collaboration, which began in July 2022, has become one of the most visible alliances in European sport. To support the ever-growing fleet of electric cars among players, BMW has installed more than 80 electric chargers in Valdebebas to ensure that every player can conveniently charge their vehicle throughout the season.

The fully electric BMW i7 once again proved to be the most popular model in the Real Madrid squad. The flagship sedan combines innovation, comfort and range capability and offers a range of up to 625 kilometers (WLTP) thanks to its 101.7 kWh battery.

Manager Xabi Alonso chose the i7 as his car for the season, along with stars Vinícius Jr., Kylian Mbappé, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Antonio Rüdiger, Endrick, Arda Güler, Rodri and Marco Asensio. Some chose the top-of-the-range BMW i7 M70 xDrive with 660 hp (485 kW).

BMW XM: The bold choice

For others, the BMW XM was the perfect addition. Brahim Díaz was among those who opted for the XM, along with Thibaut Courtois, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and the young defender Huijsen. With a starting price of around $210,000, the XM is one of the most exclusive models in Real Madrid’s fleet.

Not every player chose BMW’s largest or most powerful models. Mastantuono chose the compact i4 M60 Gran Coupe, while Eduardo Camavinga and Trent Alexander-Arnold chose the iX xDrive60, BMW’s all-electric SUV with a range of more than 500 kilometers.

Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin took a different approach and chose the BMW M5 sedan, the only gasoline-powered car in this year’s starting field. The 600+ hp sedan remains a favorite for drivers who value traditional performance and everyday usability.

BMW replaced Audi in 2022

BMW replaced Audi as Real Madrid’s automotive partner in 2022, marking a new era focused on innovation and sustainability. The agreement covers the club’s men’s and women’s soccer and basketball teams, as well as the coaching staff. Last year, Real Madrid Femenino received its first BMW vehicles – mainly the compact iX1 – reinforcing BMW’s aim to support the club’s entire sports ecosystem with electrified mobility. The BMW logo has become a familiar sight at Real Madrid – appearing in the club’s media, at the Valdebebas training center and in the renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
