Marina Bay Blue BMW M5 gets hre vintage 501 wheels

Although some BMW fans are still skeptical about the design of the new M5, one thing is certain: Few limousines commands as much on the street as the G90 BMW M5. However, this special build brings things to a completely new level. In the striking blue color of Marina Bay -for the first time, which was famous by the BMW M6, and later also from the XM -this M5 mixes out with a splash of Vintage flair thanks to a tailor -made HRE vintage.

At first glance, the brave, darkened accents of the M5 immediately gave a threatening tone, but it is the addition of the HRE vintage 501 bikes that really increases aesthetics. Inspired by the best-known sports and racing car bikes of the 1970s and 80s, the vintage series from HRE captures this gold era of design for today’s high-performance machines. It fits perfectly with a car like the M5 – a luxury missile with deep motorsport roots.

A unique bike design

This build bears the two-part FMR-X configuration, a forged masterpiece from $ 3,375 per bike. The wheels are provided with a polished clear outer and shiny silver interior and add a touch of elegance and craftsmanship without affecting the dominant character of the M5. Other available surfaces are options such as Gloss Charcoal Centers and even the dynamic floating cap from HRE, which offer owners a wide screen for personalization.

The vintage 501s in sizes from 18 inches to massive 24 inches offers flexibility for everything, from classic restorations to modern super sedans such as the G90 M5. With this build, the retro pattern with several spokes adds a sophisticated contrast to the futuristic aggression of the G90 design. The concave posture and the deep dish look at classic racing machines while sitting flush with the wide arches of the M5.

A lot of strength for this new M5

But the appearance is usually only half of the story with an M car. So this is not a M5 – it is the most powerful and technically advanced M5 that has ever been produced. Under the bonnet is a 4.4-liter S68-V8 with two turbochargers, paired with an electric motor, to form a plug-in hybrid drive train. Combined edition? An astonishing performance of 717 hp and 738 LB-FT torque, through an eight-speed automatic transmission and the XDRIVE all-wheel drive system from BMW.

Despite the increased weight due to the hybrid components, this M5 can still sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour with an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour (or 190 miles per hour with the optional M driver package) in just 3.4 seconds. It also offers a small pure electrical driving activity and makes it the first M5 that can still drive quietly through the streets of the city or in its neighborhood – before the V8 -Donner expires on request.

Such a special blue color

The blue color in Marina Bay sparkles not only in the sunlight-sie with every angle and gives the car a liquid-metallic look. Combine this with darkened kidney grilles, window cladding, mirror caps and quad exhaust tips, and the front end is noticeable. But it is the HRE bikes that choose the entire build in the focus and the bold design with a nod on the retro racer. [Photos: @zuumy]
